Investigate, Reason, Solve & Advance

Satisfy your curiosity of the world around by examining how matter changes under specific conditions.

Chemistry

Chemistry

Chemistry is a physical science that studies the composition, structure and properties of the building blocks of all physical objects—matter. Because it investigates the most basic aspects of matter, the study of chemistry is central to other scientific disciplines including biology, geology and physics. Our chemistry students learn about the properties of atoms, chemical bonds, chemical compounds, chemical interactions and formation of different substances through chemical reactions.

In our chemistry program, you may:

  • Pursue an Associate in Science degree with an emphasis in Chemistry prior to transfer
  • Prepare for a 4-year degree in chemistry or a preprofessional life science program
  • Strengthen your analytical and scientific mind in pursuit of advanced and specialized science topics
