January 2024 Letter to the Editor from Dr. Laurie Borowicz
The days go slow, but the years go fast. This rings true as I reflect on my leadership journey as I begin my ninth year as President at Kish.
Read MoreAt Kish, our focus is on our students.
We have made many changes at the College to adapt post-COVID, with our students’ higher education needs and desires at the forefront of our decision-making. Change is constant in our world, and I am proud of how we listen to our students and communities, responding to how they want their education to be offered. We continue to evolve as a College, providing new and innovative ways of delivering a first-class education close to home.
Starting in 2024, we have become more transparent regarding the cost of attending Kish. Students will pay tuition with no additional fees. We recognize that paying for college is a big financial commitment for students and their families, and we have made it easier to plan for the cost of attending Kish. The elimination of various fees will save our students approximately $1.5 million annually.
I encourage you to check out the programs, services and activities offered at Kishwaukee College. Course options allow students to take classes that fit their work and family schedules with online and face-to-face options, focusing on the way they learn best. Program options range from short-term to two-year associate degrees. Advising, tutoring and career services are just a few examples of the many services offered at Kish to help students be successful in the classroom and after college.
Kishwaukee College is committed to improving lives by providing equitable, student-centered education. Please let us know how we can help you create the life you want. We look forward to seeing you soon on campus or in our online classrooms.
