Fall 2020 Tuition Payments

  • The tuition due date for the Fall semester is August 20th.  Students will not be dropped for non-payment.  
  • If you do not attend courses you are registered for, and do not drop them by August 20th or by the 100% refund deadline, you will be required to pay for the course(s). 
  • Students have until August 20th, or by the 100% drop deadline, to drop on their own for a full refund.  To determine 100% drop deadline for a course, view the Fall 2020 Drop/Withdrawal Dates document on our web for specific course refund dates. 
  • The College is waiving the $25 fee for students who enroll in a payment plan.

Payment Methods

Kishwaukee College offers several convenient ways to pay for tuition & fees:

  • Cash, check, credit card, and e-check. Payment can be made by mail, in person, by phone, or online through myKC. Note: A 2.5% fee is charged on all credit & debit card transactions that take place within the Business Office & online. A 2.75% fee is charged on all credit & debit card transactions within the payment plan.
  • Kishwaukee College Payment Plan : This is a great way to manage your payments. You can spread installments over as many as three months. Kishwaukee College is currenlty waiving the $25 enrollment fee.
  • Financial Aid: Apply early. This money is awarded to you to help pay for college expenses, including tuition and fees, books, and supplies. Types of aid include federal and student aid (fafsa.ed.gov) including grants, loans, Kishwaukee College Foundation scholarships and military/veteran benefits.

Refund Policy

A 100% refund will be granted for classes dropped within the first 6% of the class, as measured using the start and end dates of each class. A 50% refund will be granted for classes dropped after 6% of the class has expired but within the first 12% of the class. The amount of refund is calculated from the date the class is dropped. The exact drop dates for each of your classes can be found on the Important Dates & Deadlines page.

Refunds will be made only after you drop your class, either in person or through myKC. You may apply any refund credits to the cost of other classes during the same semester. Otherwise, a refund will be mailed to you or credited to your credit card or bank account within three weeks of the class start date. A full refund will be granted for classes cancelled by the College. Refunds are not granted if a student has been withdrawn due to misconduct or delinquent attendance. This policy does not apply to Continuing Education classes.

If Financial Aid was used to pay for your tuition and fees, the refund will be applied to the financial aid programs that paid the charges. The Higher Education Amendments of 1998 have mandated additional requirements concerning refunds of tuition and fees to Title IV Financial Aid programs for students who drop or withdraw from classes for which Title IV funds were used. If you withdraw from all classes before 60% of the term has elapsed, you may owe a portion of the financial aid previously disbursed. Attendance Verification

Students who do not attend their class during the refund period will be dropped from the class roster and will be charged for the class.  Reduced classes / credits will be reflected in your enrollment status and may affect eligibility for athletics, scholarships, financial aid and other programs.  For online classes, logging into the class does not constitute attendance, as the student must be participating in a discussion or other class participation based upon the instructors discretion.

Refund Policy Non-Credit

No refunds are issued after the first class session unless otherwise specified in the class listing. A full refund will be granted for classes cancelled by Kishwaukee College.

Past Due Balances

If you have a balance due, your account will be placed on a financial hold. This means you will be unable to:

  • Get transcripts
  • Enroll in classes

All uncollected accounts will get turned over to a collection agency. This will adversely affect your credit rating. Please do not enroll in a payment plan unless you are confident you can fulfill your payment obligations.

Nonsufficient Funds

For any payment that is returned for any reason, you will be sent a notification informing you of the amount due and how to pay. A returned charge of $25 will be applied to your account.
