TRIO Upward Bound (UB) is a program that is federally funded through the United States
Department of Education. Upward Bound is one of eight TRIO programs designed to promote
academic success. Upward Bound is a college completion program serving students enrolled
at DeKalb High School. Kishwaukee’s Upward Bound program provides the support, motivation
and academic preparation necessary to go to college.

The TRIO Upward Bound program offers after-school tutoring, known as study labs, throughout the academic year. The labs are an opportunity for students to get homework help from tutors or continue working on schoolwork independently.
Kishwaukee College has announced the students named to the Fall 2025 Dean’s List. To be eligible for Dean’s List honors, a student must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours during an academic term at Kishwaukee College with a semester grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Kishwaukee College has announced the students named to the Fall 2025 Part-Time Student Honors List. To be eligible for this honor, a student must have completed a minimum of six (but fewer than 12) semester hours of college-level courses at Kish with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
