The Board of Trustees at Kishwaukee College is pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement with Laurie Borowicz, Ed.D., to assume the position of President of Kishwaukee College. Trustees Bob Hammon, Kathy Spears, and Bob Johnson traveled to her college yesterday and met with many of her co-workers and her President. They were all sorry to see her leave their college, but were emphatic in their confidence that she will be an outstanding Kishwaukee College President.
Laurie Borowicz, Ed.D., is currently the Vice President of Student Services for Northcentral Technical College, Wausau, WI. Previously, she served as the Dean of K-12 Relations and Student Success atNorthcentral Technical College, WI. Dr. Borowicz received a Bachelor of Science in Retailing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, WI, a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, Menomonie, WI, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Edgewood College, Madison, WI.
A special Board meeting will be held soon to approve her employment contract. Dr. Borowicz will begin her service on the first day of second semester classes, January 19th.
The Board would also like to express their wholehearted gratitude to each and every member of the Presidential Search Committee for their dedication and their hard work on behalf of Kishwaukee College.
Thank you to all students, employees, and community members that attended the finalist forums last week and submitted evaluation forms. Trustees read all the forms and considered everyone’s comments when they met to select the person that they would invite to become the fifth President.
The Board is convinced that Dr. Borowicz is exactly the right person to lead Kishwaukee College at this challenging time in the College’s history.
