Job Seekers

Career Services at Kishwaukee College offers a variety of services to assist you with your job search from beginning to end. Our professional staff provides resources and consultation on the ins and outs of initiating a job search, writing a resume and cover letter, and interviewing techniques. Career Services offers annual job fairs/hiring events, access to employment listings, information on employers, workshops, mock interviews with video options, and a computer lab to assist you in your job search.

Pathful Explore can help you write a professional-looking resume. The software is easy to use and Career Services will help you navigate it like a pro. Staff will also offer critiques for your resume and cover letter.

Get rid of interview jitters by participating in a mock interview with Career Services. Develop confidence by practicing your answers and improving your delivery. Make an appointment with Career Services prior to your interview.

Internship and employment opportunities are posted on Handshake.

Employment on campus is available to students through the Federal Work-Study program. Please contact Human Resources at 815-825-9370 for more information.

Learn to leverage the internet and social media to assist you in your job search! According to a SHRM HR survey, 84% of organizations are using social media in their recruitment. Do not wait until you graduate to start utilizing these important job search tools.
