Student Success Scholarship
We are pleased to announce a “Student Success Scholarship” for the Fall 2017 semester! The Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees approved a new scholarship as a way to give back to students. The scholarship would award half of the 2017/2018 tuition increase back to ALL students that have successfully completed their credit coursework during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Student Success Scholarships will be awarded to all students who successfully complete their Fall 2017 credit courses with a letter grade of A, B, or C. Scholarships would be $5 per credit hour for general credits, $7.50 per credit hour for those paying 1.5 differential tuition rate, and $10 per credit hour for those paying 2.0 differential tuition rate.
Who is eligible?
How do I apply?
All students who are enrolled in credit courses during the Fall 2017 term are eligible where tuition for the course was paid.
The following groups are ineligible:
- Dual credit students
- Students enrolled in continued education course
- Employees and their dependents who receive tuition waivers
- Senior citizens over the age of 60 at the time of registration who were not charged tuition for college credit classes through the College's Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver Program
When will the scholarship be awarded?
Students do NOT need to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship will automatically be calculated and applied to students account after Fall grades are turned it.
I am not returning in the Spring. How do I request a refund check for the scholarship?
The scholarship will be awarded after the end of the Fall term when grades are entered.
How do I know if I will receive $5, $7.5 or $10 per credit hour?
A refund check will automatically be sent to Students who do not enroll for the Spring 2018 semester on February 2, 2018. Checks will be sent to Student’s primary address.
I am taking an 8-week class that ends in October. When will I receive my scholarship?
All nursing courses in the ADN/LPN program and all courses in the Radiologic Technology program will receive $10 per credit hour.
All first-year courses in the AET/MT, AMT, CAD, CRT, DPT, ELE, EMS, EST, TPM, and WT programs will receive $7.50 per credit hour.

I received an A, B, or C in all my classes but one. Does that disqualify me from the scholarship?
All Student Success Scholarship will be awarded after the end of the Fall term when grades are entered.
I receive a scholarship/loan that covered my tuition. Am I still eligible for the Student Success Scholarship?
I paid out of district rates. Do I still qualify?
No. Scholarship will be awarded for any course successfully completed with an A, B, or C. Scholarship is NOT all or nothing.
Yes, you still qualify for the scholarship and your award amount will still be at the $5, $7.50 or $10 per credit hour for credit courses successfully completed with a grade of A, B, or C.
